 What is Cruise Ship?

A cruise ship  liner is a passenger ship used for pleasure voyages, where the voyage itself and the ship's amenities are a part of the experience, as well as the different destinations along the way. Transportation is not the prime purpose, as cruise ships operate mostly on routes that return passengers to their originating port.

Top 10: MSC Divina




MS MSC Divina is a cruise ship owned and operated by MSC Cruises. She was constructed from 2010–2012, and was  entered service in May 2012.  She is the twelfth ship in MSC's fleet, and is the largest of their ships at 139,400 toned.  The ship can accommodate up to 3,959 passengers in 1,637 cabins and  crew complement is 1,325.

Number 9: MSC Fantasia



MSC Fantasia is an Italian Fantasia class cruise ship owned and operated by MSC Cruises. She entered service in December 2008.

She is the largest ship operated by MSC Cruises to date, along with her sister ship MSC Splendida. The ship can accommodate up to  3,900 passengers and crew complement is  1,313.

Number 8: Norwegian Breakaway



Norwegian Breakaway is a cruise ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Lines. Construction of Norwegian Breakaway began on 21 September 2011 and she was delivered to NCL on 25 April 2013.

Following the handover, Norwegian Breakaway will leave the port of Bremerhaven, heading for Rotterdam.
She is 146,600 GT in size, and has capacity for 4,000 passengers, double occupancy. The ship has a total of 1,024 staterooms and 238 suites, designed by Priestmangoode and Tillberg Design.


Number 7: RMS Queen Mary 2



RMS Queen Mary 2 is a transatlantic ocean liner. The new ship was named Queen Mary 2 by Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 after the first RMS Queen Mary, completed in 1936.

At the time of her construction in 2003 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, Queen Mary 2 was the longest, widest, and tallest passenger ship ever built, and with her gross tonnage of 148,528 also the largest.

Number 6: Independence of the Seas


MS Independence of the Seas is a Freedom-class cruise ship operated by the Royal Caribbean cruise line that entered service in April 2008.

The 15-deck ship can accommodate 4,370 passengers and is served by 1,360 crew.  She is 1,112 feet (339 m) long, and typically cruises at 21.6 knots (40.0 km/h; 24.9 mph) with her gross tonnage of 154,407.


Number  5: Liberty of the Seas



Liberty of the Seas is a Royal Caribbean International cruise ship of the Freedom class which entered regular service in May 2007. The 15-deck ship accommodates 4,370 passengers served by 1,360 crew.

She is 1,111.9 ft (338.91 m) long,184 ft (56.08 m) wide, and cruises at 21.6-knot (40 km/h; 25 mph) with her gross tonnage of 154,407.

Number 4: Freedom of the Seas



MS Freedom of the Seas is a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. It can accommodate 3,634 passengers and 1,300 crew on fifteen passenger decks.

Number 3: Norwegian Epic



Norwegian Epic is a cruise ship of the Norwegian Cruise Line and built under of that line's F3 Project by STX Europe Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. When built it was the third largest cruise ship in the world. 

The ship accommodates 4,100 passengers at double occupancy and served by 1,708 crew.  She is 1,081 ft (329.45 m) long, 133 ft (40.64 m) wide, and cruises at 22-knot.

 

Top 2: Oasis of The Seas




MS Oasis of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship, delivered to its owner, Royal Caribbean International, in October 2009.  She set a new record of carrying over 6,000 passengers.

The ship accommodates 5,400 passengers at double occupancy with a maximum of 6,296 and served by 2,165 crew.  She is 1,156.5 ft (361.6 m) long, 198 ft (60.5 m) wide, and cruises at 22.6-knot.

World Biggest Cruise Ship: Allure of the Seas


MS Allure of the Seas is a cruise ship owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International. She holds the record for the largest passenger ship ever constructed, although Allure is 50 millimetres (2.0 in) longer than Oasis, making her the largest despite that both ships have identical superstructures.
