The Philippine navy  has 2 frigates in its inventory and sooner it will add 2 brand new frigates which currently in the process of selection.

The South Korean Government pledge to Philippines to give its Pohang Class corvette and everything goes well, this will be transfer to Philippine Navy before the end of year 2014

The Pohang Class has two variants namely Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW) and Anti Submarine Warfare. This variants is both identical except its armament and sensors installed. Yet,  It's unclear what type of Pohang Class Frigate will be transfer to Philippine Navy.
