JMSDF Asagiri Class Destroyer Details

The Asagiri-class destroyer was built during the 1980s for service with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. The ship is an extended version of Hatsuyuki Class Destroyers,  main  tasked with Anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and Anti-surface warfare (ASUW).

• Length: 137 meters 
• Beam 14.6 meters
• Draft 4.5m
• Displacement: 3500 tons, standard  and  4200 tons (full load)
• Speed: 30 knots maximum
• Range: 8000 NM at 14 knots
• Crewmembers: up to 220
